HDTV Receivers Now Available

DIRECTV signals from selected networks now support the new High Density Television systems. RCA and other select manufacturers can provide you with the equipment necessary to enjoy HDTV while supporting your older analog equipment. DIRECTV Plus systems offer you even more programming options than the traditional systems. Spanish and Chinesse networks are available from
the DIRECTV Plus system. A variety of expanded domestic programming is also now vailable with the DIRECTV Plus system.

Great Features

These great features are found on all models of DBS systems. They all work basically the same, with just a few subtle differences.

  • The DIRECTV System works like your TV. Pick up the DIRECTV remote and push the DIRECTV button - a program comes on the TV. Press the Channel Up/Down buttons to scan through the channels. Press the number keys to go directly to a channel.

  • There is an on-screen Program Guide. The Program Guide lists the available programs and times. It is designed to help you select regular programs and pay-per-view events. You can also sort the Guide to list only specific types of programs. You can select Sports, for example, and your guide will show current and upcoming sports programs only. Or movies. Or news.

  • There is the DIRECTV on-screen Menu System that allows you to customize your system: set up your system, build channel lists, preview coming attractions, set spending limits, and receive mail from your program providers.
  • There are three types of On-line Help to assist you in learning how to use the DIRECTV System: Auto Help, Help buttons, and the Help menu.
